I usually make some of the chicken recipes as one pot recipes and not separately which turn out well and also helps in cooking the chicken and the masala gravy perfectly. The ingredients needed to make Chicken changezi:
  1. Take Chicken 1kg cut in 24 pieces
  2. Take 1 glass Milk
  3. Get Tomatoes 2large (paste)
  4. Make ready Onion 2 large (sliced)
  5. Get Milk pack cream 1 packet
  6. Make ready 1/4 cup Yogurt
  7. Take 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  8. Get 1 tbsp Ginger & garlic paste
  9. Get 1 tsp Chaat masala powder
  10. Prepare Red chilli powder 1 & half tbsp
  11. Take Gram masala powder 1tsp
  12. Take 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  13. Prepare 1 tsp Salt
  14. Get Dry Fenugreek leaves 1tbsp(heaped)(Qasuri meethi)
  15. Prepare Green chilli 5 (sliced)
  16. Prepare 12 Almond nuts
  17. Get 5 Whole small red chilli
  18. Prepare Oil half cup
  19. Make ready Desi ghee half cup

A chicken curry from the time, when Changez khan ruled India, is chicken changezi. It is a creamy rich chicken curry with mild flavours. It gets its mild flavours from the cashew paste and cream. The first few ingredients used in this recipe of Chicken Changezi is the basic marination.

Steps to make Chicken changezi:
  1. Marinate chicken with salt,red chillu,ginger &garlic paste,lemon juice mix well - Cover & keep in the fridge for 1hour. - Then add the yogurt in the chicken mix well. - Now add the chicken in a pot & cook the chicken till all the liquids dries on high flame(keep aside)
  2. Heat oil & fry onions, almond nuts till light golden on high flame. - Then remove the onions & almond nuts from the oil,grind it to a smooth paste can add milk or water to grind. - Heat ghee in a pot add tomato paste,milk,gram masala,coriander powder mix & cook on medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes. - Then add cream,chat masala - & the grinded paste of onions & almond nuts mix well
  3. And cook till the oil comes ghee comes on the - Surface on medium flame. - Now add the chicken which was kept aside - With fenugreek leaves,green chilli,water. Half cup mix well & cook till the ghee comes on the surface on medium flame - Then add the whole small red chilli mix. - Serve hot with chapati. - Remember me in your prayers..

Yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, salt, and lemon juice. Then we make a paste of fried onion and cashew nuts. This paste added to any ordinary curry gives it a Mughlai and rich flavor. Serve the rich and creamy Chicken Changezi with hot buttery naans or tandoori style flatbreads. Notes: Although I prefer bone-in chicken for this recipe, boneless chicken may also be used.
