Genasale is coconut and jaggery filled steamed kadubu or steamed rice cake, usually folded and steam cooked in banana leaves. Banana leaf gives beautiful aroma and a good taste to this Genasale. Genasale is prepared using few basic ingredients but the end result is mouth watering, everyone's favourite dish. This is well relished with fresh butter or ghee.

  2. Heat the kadhai add ghee and mustard, urad dal, chana dal.
  3. Add onion, green chilli, ginger garlic paste and little fry.
  4. Now add capsicum, baby corns, sweet corn, carrot, cabbage and mix nicely.
  5. Finally add coriander leaves and mixed herbs and mix nicely. Add salt and mix. Once it done, switch of the flame. Fried veggies mix ready.
  6. Take mixie jar, add soaked rice, and little water. Grind into nice and thick paste. Add salt and mix nicely.
  7. Take a idli thatte, place the banana leaf and pour little rice batter
  8. Now add some fried veggies mix.
  9. Cover another piece of banana leaf.
  10. Set the idli stand.
  11. Place to the idli cooker. And steam for 15 to 20 minutes.
  12. Ready momo genasale.
  13. Serve with love.
