  23. Make ready 500 gm paneer cut into cubes

  25. Get 5-6 baby potatoes (pre boiled)

My trick to making this a healthy Paneer Tikka Masala. It adds body and creaminess without the need for heavy cream. I add more than is traditional, because I want my Paneer Tikka Masala to be a true all-in-one meal. Paneer Tikka Masala is marvelously saucy and begs for something to mix with it.

Instructions to make Paneer veg Tikka masala:
  1. For marination, mix hung curd and all the spices. Keep aside.
  2. Cut paneer, capsicum into cubes, remove the potato skin. And prepare rest of the veggies accordingly for marination.
  3. Now gradually mix veggies in the marinate. Very carefully, not crushing planneer or potatoes. Give it a rest of at least 1 hour.
  4. After an hour, Grease a non stick pan with oil and roast all the veggies.
  5. In another pan, add oil/butter, add jeera, asofatida and onions.
  6. Saute it and add tomatoes and cook till both the things come together. If needed to may blend it into blender once tomatoes become soft.
  7. Now add all the spices and salt.
  8. Cover and cook for 5-15 mins, till the oil ozzes out. Add water if required.
  9. Adjust the consistency of the gravy and just before serving add All the veggies and paneer.
  10. Cook it for a while, add kasuri methi.

In my recipe I marinate paneer along with green bell peppers and sweet onions for the classic tikka combination, but you can just use paneer alone or even substitute it for some vegetables. Paneer Tikka Masala has everything - A slightly sweet, smooth, luscious gravy with spicy, tangy and creamy tones.
